Part two of a two-part course, NR-304 examines the principles and techniques of nursing assessment with a focus on using assessment findings in clinical decision making. Participants learn to identify teaching and learning needs from a comprehensive assessment and health history and to document findings professionally. The laboratory component continues to develop the skills needed to assess the peripheral vascular, abdominal and gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, neurological, and genitourinary systems, including the breast, through experiential learning.
